Tyler Simao capped his four-year University of Hawaii at Hilo baseball career with his selection as the Pacific West Conference’s final Pitcher of the Week honor for the 2012 season. In his final appearance, the senior from Makakilo, Hawaii tossed a nine-inning, six-hit shutout to beat the Academy of Art University 4-0 on May 1. He held the Urban Knights to a .188 batting average while striking out eight, walking three and allowing no extra-base hits.
